- A Common Man Looks at the War on Islamic Terror -

Freedom and fear are at war.
The advance of human freedom the great achievement of
our time, and the great hope of every time now depends on us.

Our nation this generation will
lift a dark threat of violence
from our people and our future.
We will rally the world to
this cause by our efforts,
by our courage.
We will not tire,
we will not falter,
we will not fail. George Bush 9/20/2001

What the enemy believes
We are not fighting so
that you will offer us
something.
We are fighting
to eliminate you.
Hussein Massawi,
a former Hezbollah leader.

apCan Vietnam happen all over again?
Michelle Malkin highlights an AP story reporting on the President’s speech hours before he delivers it. Naturally one can imagine that the AP, the same organization that hired
Terrorist photographers to get those ever so perfect shots, probably didn’t look real hard for someone who would at least report on his speech neutrally. Lucky for them they hit upon a reporter, Jennifer Loven, who would be sure to keep uppermost in mind that the goal of the MSM is not to win the war on terror but to defeat the United States.

Our will to win is the crux of this war. We cannot be defeated other than to defeat our will to fight. The MSM is intent on doing just that for a variety of reasons which I admit to being absolutely in the dark about. Who can understand a bunch of college educated liberals rooting for the basest of terrorists and before you claim that they are not rooting for them. Then explain the last 36 months of reporting every setback, every mistake, every mis-step while at the same time avoiding reporting any hero’s stories, any victories, any stories that might uplift the nation. Have you ever heard of Brian Chontosh? How many movies of the heroism of 9/11 have you seen? The definition of victory in a war is when the enemy loses the will to fight. It is not the numbers of dead, nor the amounts of cities destroyed that count the victors and losers but only the decision to quit that decides the issue. Given that premise which I believe to be accurate whose side is the MSM on again?

We are at a crossroads and I have to say that I have faith in the American People. We understand that we were defeated in Vietnam by our lack of will. We understand who was responsible in large part for that lack of will. The stakes have never been higher and I don't believe we are set for failure by quitting but that doesnt mean the MSM will quit trying to have us quit.
