Freedom and fear are at war. The advance of human freedom the great achievement of our time, and the great hope of every time now depends on us. Our nation this generation will lift a dark threat of violence from our people and our future. We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail.
George Bush 9/20/2001

Bub-bye Tookie wonder what sort of sounds you will make when you die?
Unlike many I have absolutely no problem saying bub-bye to Tookie and others like him. Some might question my respect for life and to those I would respond I have a tremendous respect for those murdered. They are the ones forgotten, as indeed was proven time and time again when Tookie's biggest and most popular supporters repeatedly failed to be able to name any of the victims.

If it was possible to guarantee that those who receive life sentences would actually remain in prison until they died I would be more amenable to doing away with the Death sentence. But that doesn't seem possible these days. Captains Quarters is against the Death penalty but I believe he understands my point regarding my desire to take these sorts of people off the streets permanently. Another condition required for me to reconsider my position would be isolating those criminals who have committed capital offenses. That people like Tookie and Mumia have become celebrities is an insult to those who have been murdered by those monsters. Killing them takes away that celebrity status and gives back a measure of dignity to those who have been murdered by these monsters.
