Today on talk radio was listening to a bunch of people talking about how terrible it is that Tookie Williams was put to death. "Because you know black men are overrepresented in Prison and Death row and you know its just wrong that so many more black men are in jail compared to whites". So ok lets set aside the question of how many blacks are guilty of murder.

Let us just note that blacks are 6 times more likely to be murdered! Next question who is murdering blacks such rates? Why they heck does that stay a secret? If you do not identify the problem there is absolutely no way to solve the problem. How has it come to pass that in black neighborhoods death comes so casually that an entire culture can be witness to such horrendous crime and shrug? Shrug!

What sort of propaganda has an entire portion of the United States been fed and enjoyed that leads them to believe that their salvation will come from denial of such horrendous crime? What hope is there that we can reverse this terrible course some day?

There are no secrets on how you stop such horrendous crime. You stop associating success with those who perpetuate it. You stop hiding from the terrible fact that Junior next door, who you held when he was a baby, has turned into a cold blooded 14 year old killer for hire. You bear witness to the crime whatever the penalty, in much the same way that the Iraqis still line up to be police officers, even while they and their families are murdered in such horrific numbers.
