- A Common Man Looks at the War on Islamic Terror -

Freedom and fear are at war.
The advance of human freedom the great achievement of
our time, and the great hope of every time now depends on us.

Our nation this generation will
lift a dark threat of violence
from our people and our future.
We will rally the world to
this cause by our efforts,
by our courage.
We will not tire,
we will not falter,
we will not fail. George Bush 9/20/2001

What the enemy believes
We are not fighting so
that you will offer us
something.
We are fighting
to eliminate you.
Hussein Massawi,
a former Hezbollah leader.

How do knee Jerk Defenders of President Bush answer this powerful letter? Part 2
Well? If you can read these powerful letters of Ken Stethem and not be furious that our government, in spite of all the brave words of our President, merely stood around while a terrorist scum was released then you are not a patriot! Look to the side of this blog and read those brave words by President Bush, was he serious? Robert Stethem's big brother, Ken Stethem in the Navy for 20 years 16 as a Navy Seal, is wondering the same thing. Read the powerful letters of Ken and know he will not quit until he gets satisfaction, Navy Seals don't surrender. Not one Navy Seal has ever been captured. President Bush would be well advised to respond in some fashion before this issue finally gets picked up by the MSM.

Again if we had a valid opposition party that actually loved this country the way that FDR and Truman did Ken would have someone to help in his fight. As it stands the opposition party is too busy trying to appease the terrorists to want to defend our honor and the word of our Government to catch and bring to justice Robert Stethem's murderers. It is left to us, the Presidents supporters, to call on him to honor the words of his and past administrations by bringing Hammadi to justice.

Michael Yon is on the job and you can bet he won't give up either. Read his powerful site to understand what the issues are in this disgusting display of dishonor by our government.

A small sampling of bits from Ken Stethem's letters to the President found on Michael Yon's site follows:
Michael Yon : Online Magazine: Catch and Release

Since your administration responded to Hammadi's release with little more than an abstract reflection on how powerless you were to prevent Hammadi's release, I thought I would take this time to share some ideas with you on how you might use
this opportunity to exercise statesmanship in developing a clearer, more concise and very deliberate policy regarding the War on Terror and Lebanon, both of which would absolutely result in Hammadi being turned over to the United States.

While military operations might be able to capture and return these four individuals, it would be at great risk to our men and women. And although I am quite certain that there would be many brave volunteers for a mission of this type, and that the military plays a pivotal role in the War on Terrorism, the military must not fight this war alone. It is strong leadership and true statesmanship that is required in this circumstance, and you are the key player. You are the leader of our great nation and the free world. You alone can make a defining decision at this moment in the War on Terrorism. Rather than facing Iran, the Mother of all Radical Islamic Terrorist Groups, head on . . . . it would be much better to fight them as they fight us, locally, nationally, regionally and then globally.

From the second letter:

After Robert was beaten and tortured and bleeding from puncture wounds all over his body, he was placed next to a 16-year old Australian girl. As bad as Robert was beaten, he had the courage and strength to comfort and console her. He told her that, “She would be okay and that she would get out of here alive.” When she tried to return the comfort, he said, “No, I don’t think so. I am the only one in my group that is not married and some of the guys have children, too.” Some time later, Robert was again taken up to the cockpit and tortured in order to get the fuel. But it didn’t work, he would not give in to them.

From the third letter:
You have rightly promised that, “We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest.” To that end, you have promised that, “We will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”

Hezbollah in Lebanon is such a terrorist group and I urge you to compel Lebanon to make that decision.
