With a murder rate (according to Justice Department statistics) that means blacks are 6 times more likely to be the victim of a murder and 7 times more likely than whites to commit murder this story about marriage may point to one of the reasons why. Marriage and more importantly commitment to raising children is for "White People" according to some 12 year old black children in this story by the Washington Post. That short term what have you done for me lately attitude doesn't seem to be very healthy. What is really ominous is the claim that the marriage rate for whites is trending downwards as well. Children raised by part time parents probably are not going to be model citizens.
