- A Common Man Looks at the War on Islamic Terror -

Freedom and fear are at war.
The advance of human freedom the great achievement of
our time, and the great hope of every time now depends on us.

Our nation this generation will
lift a dark threat of violence
from our people and our future.
We will rally the world to
this cause by our efforts,
by our courage.
We will not tire,
we will not falter,
we will not fail. George Bush 9/20/2001

What the enemy believes
We are not fighting so
that you will offer us
something.
We are fighting
to eliminate you.
Hussein Massawi,
a former Hezbollah leader.

Republicans Aid and Abet the Reconquista.
In the 2004 election cycle I gave far more money to the Republican Party than I could afford. Thank god they have managed to piss me off for the 2006 cycle. Gonna save a lot of money this year. After all why give money to a party that puts the welfare of illegals over the welfare of my country? Why give money to a party which manages to have on its side of the immigration debate people who fly the
Mexican Flag over the Upside Down American Flag?

Between their covering up of the errors of our intelligence services regarding 9/11 and getting it all wrong on Immigration they can kiss my ass the next time they call for donations.

For the Republican Party to regain my vote (yea I will sit out 2006) and money they will have to start supporting:
1. Increase Defense Spending to at least 5% of our GDP. Even Clinton managed to keep it above 4% most of both his terms...yea I know that was mainly the result of Republicans in Congress. What happened did we become safer after 9/11?
2. Get some coherent policy on Iran before it's too late.
3. Stop the flow of illegals into the country with a combination of employer sanctions and fences. Also put together a rational policy for legal immigration into this country that allows more than the current trickle. I don't have a problem with immigration I have a problem with illegal immigration.
4. Kill the UN.
5. Permanently lower my taxes to something resembling less than usury rates.

When I read the polls that show President Bush and the Republicans down, its obvious to me that they have lost the base. I know if a pollster called me he wouldn't leave with a favorable impression of the Republicans. Course the Democrats are hopeless, which is a large part of why the Republicans are in such bad shape. No one to keep them honest. The Republicans having lost their philosophy have drifted towards the increasingly leftist Democrats which has brought the center of the Debate much farther to the left than anyone would have dreamed after Republican wins in 2000, 2002 and 2004.

A hint to the Republicans. When the people that support your efforts are flying the American Flag upside down under a Mexican Flag you are probably headed in the wrong direction. Furthermore for a hint on where we are going one need only look at the French Riots. The US will look like that in 5 years if Immigration is not fixed. Los Angles is starting to look like that now.
