- A Common Man Looks at the War on Islamic Terror -

Freedom and fear are at war.
The advance of human freedom the great achievement of
our time, and the great hope of every time now depends on us.

Our nation this generation will
lift a dark threat of violence
from our people and our future.
We will rally the world to
this cause by our efforts,
by our courage.
We will not tire,
we will not falter,
we will not fail. George Bush 9/20/2001

What the enemy believes
We are not fighting so
that you will offer us
something.
We are fighting
to eliminate you.
Hussein Massawi,
a former Hezbollah leader.

Whilst the British bend knee's, the Danes show us all how to stand erect!
Michael Bloomberg Mayor of New York City defends the rights of the Chief Chaplin a Muslim Imam who preaches that Jews and Infidels deserve to die. The British prostrated for the first time since the Romans, find that no matter how much is delivered to aggrieved Muslims more is demanded. The Netherlands supplicated in the face of the harsh riots in neighboring countries issues an apology as a matter of form. All over Europe and the United States newspapers, radio and television seek to find ways to avoid upsetting those whose threats are taken seriously by a class of people who loved to trumpet their bravery in defense of the First Amendment when that bravery demanded no more of them than to picket a government office with no fear of reprisal.

Yet in Denmark, a stand is taken and the sort of backbone we all hope we have is shown repeatedly. Those Danes love their freedom. Perhaps it is because we have forgotten how much we love ours that we are so meek in defending it?

This take down of 60 Minutes by one of Denmark's leading Journalists shows that some journalists still understand what it is they are fighting for. 60 Minutes tried one of their tried and true attack jobs on the Danish Cartoon issue and in typical fashion got most of the story out of the same bin that Dan Rather got the Bush National Guard scandal from.

The most important question to ask is why, what would motivate 60 Minutes to attack a Danish Newspaper in favor of mobs? What drove them to distort the story in a fashion that would make Al Qaeda's official News Outlet Aljazeera proud? Isn't there some mutual respect to be found amongst journalists that would stop 60 Minutes from the hatchet job they perpetuated? Whatever motivated this story was stronger than that? Wow there is a story.
