FM10' J =6D Quick Death or how I learned to love chaff and flare....by PAPA DOCWWelcome pilots to a mission designed to give you a reason to survive, so you can see what happens next . I wanted to have a mission to practice all types of A2A engagements so I sat down on a series of quiet nights and in my most sadistic mood came up with this monster. You will find (I hope) that the difficulty increases as you progress thru the short campaign. At first the enemy will be either guns only or "only" armed with R-73's The skill level will progress as well though there are a "few" excellent pilots mixed in right at the start to see if your serious. As well the paths they follow are fixed at first but I intend to allow more randomness later in the mission. Remember you only have one airplane and one wingman, to make it all the way thru you will have to make decsions regarding yours and his welfare. Choose wisely. First 2 landings are at this base, DO NOT FOLLOW WAYPOINTS all the time. Be aware that I have neither the skill nor the desire (yet) to become or call myself a wizard in actual strategies for planning an AIR CAMPAIGN. It will be necessary to land and rearm several times to complete this short campaign. Each time you land press ALT B to minimise Flanker. Then open a second Flanker and open this mission. Go to briefing. I will have a separate briefing for each phase of the campaign. Realise Im getting old so occasionally will forget to include all of the days events in the mission.....oooops hehehe. Each briefing will be titled by the # of the landing it should be. And I know that "if ya aint cheating ya aint tryin" is a fighter pilot credo but try not to look ahead. So lets fly. The first event is an attack on your airbase by several umm maybe more MIG-27's. They intend to ruin your day by denying you your airbase better hurry and stop them. Trust me you need your airbase. Unless you like threading bomb craters in a strong crosswind when you land. So off you go. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX YOUR FIRST LANDING CONGRATS YOUR NOT LOOKING AHEAD ARE U Reload (ctrl-W) and dont mess about there is a big fight going on that you shouldnt miss. Happen to notice those MIG-27's flying in formation, ya didnt shoot any down did ya? Anyway they are going to stop an amphibious landing and will need all the help your insignificant abilities can bring to bear. Umm forget what I put there, but there might be more than a couple SU-27 and MiG-29's. Oh and I think there are a couple of GRISHA'S there as well. Can you say furball. Dont cough it up thats bad manners. Oh BTW did those MiG-29's surprise you????hehehe fun fun fun. Thank god I didnt put any missiles on them. Oh did I forget to mention that all of the next group are armed with missiles? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX SECOND LANDING CONGRATS UNLESS YOUR LOOKING AHEAD Reload and fly cap over your base, I have a feeling that some bad guys are one the way. I have not spent much time on this part so might be some timing problems in fact if you spent too much time fighting the landing the bombs might be falling right now.6 p=<6p=7c7Z $Jf& ppJf& %kpIf& 0SMIf& =J: jI: t6Jf& 8 0/} / 4 /} 4; 1/} ۴ :{/9} $ ;/I _ /M !& / [ "/ M $ T/ / 5Jf& If&` ] T/)d VV/{x ,6Vԍ.q.d/ v @/I }E/I7~ @&ط+o`3<҇,-%>2+9ږE,xc; 9+q%;k.(:-De+X|>@(c+FT;eF):k(3qF< @/!!2";@z#@&X` @%/ @`:/ @N/ -O+ @/ 2q}]$L})d }~/ }4p/ }S/ } /- }c0H }n].'-}l-b},MK :/BMg נ/BMFII7M'w{II7MYII7M@!II7M3+9II7MII7MII7MXQHI7aMiˡHI7aMCXHI7aMF$II7aMNII7aMw{II7aM%II7aM2iJI7aMvp]HDFMM&HDFM%9IDFM_'DIDFMqIDFM IDFM2IDFMIDFMA=JDFMm$JDFMIDFMI$+IDFM%9-IDFMnJHDFM-_HDFMvpcHDFM\HDFM[mHDFM'6JDFM?iJDFMM'JDFMTD KDFMlKDFMPw2KDFM$RUKDFMmKDFMY{KDFMxKDFM*QHDM5HDMHDMHDM)IDMk2IDMKIDM?fHDM8{HDM#+ؓHDMG7HDMTHDM&HDM8-IDM+IDM)@IDM 2)RHDMHDMHDM8]HDMrHDMIDM.vJDaM8JDaM@JZKDaMlw!KDaMPw9KDaMm&cKDaM+KDaMY{KDaM$fKDaMGpXKDaM]i(DKDaM[56KDaMTw!KDaM5KDaM5JDaM JDaM 6JDM'JDM.SJDM*QJDMXK/KDM*QKDM@KDM_KDMbKDMWKDM:~bKDM]ifKDM[=KDMVC+KDMl< KDM#+JDMOJDM.JDM5 JDMMD KDM[w!KDM]i@KDMzfKDM+KDM-_HDMnJHDM%9[HDM'IDM,9IDMDcIDMw{IDM^IDM+DzIDMAIDM`IDM wn1I7 : /I7}rA }FQ}CcIs}F /}?L}s}Is}FX}K}lPVJ}E/t}KW}I}O}0UEJ}fKM}Q}DX}^Le}?J}lPs}D /}K}OP}~I}1H }I}52J}9NH}^L}D}s?P0(}ąD )I pI gI nIF $uIF IF 8RIF EbIa }uIa ^Ia ݢIaZA \DH\D$L E?ӄL F8K.lDv[N~cE6_TO9%F@hP݈O DM8M=$D݈O\dDȝfOyE5v[N`F.cMpGPzMLXH^8KTIBJ%_ \H9NHtKZ~GrA =qGBqGIqPUGqJq \H@GqIA_qF؏vK<:E7!$L-#D I /ISH@G׸|GGk^L*X+EvL(wD/tvLs!C:K X~I<oUI$HQ@GJpO<\GEcJeiHA @((9GqB v[Ni?TʱG, BYv[NS GCTMPW!lGD;$LJ#Pn(e@H~E$fK/tHj1LCcIGb<IoMvJ+GeH'ZM%_QJGH ~I'F wI F &IU ZI r^Ia \u;I zƶIF }QIfF DIa 3gIDa pIa uI a 'aIF ݸ]I vjIwa jIF nI[a :vII wI[a }I[a |Il F Ia ۂI a .ڏI3 a gOIa t I Iwa ,I a ܋RIf υ%Zx>Tl>AP>AMH ,I =M" ,IO Hn Hn I1 ,Kh& H` }"U}RX|Z \@ |Zf@`/M@nfI(` 8{I™@XI{@Ixh.cK { I4 I@nI|Z \ ]/L}E7aH !I ]/ (( ]/k2.kAkHk.jK@kJ9jk~H k3 ]/>\ ]/̋ c/ VoI "J ,I 5J ,nJ {J 3ZJ rpI eI @.+W[}AK}7}I|=}ƞD}Bol*@ @/2 fq/ -[ /a H15 -7 ,d13 Rw:\ mq?
